I’m back! After galavanting around the Spanish coast for 7 days, I returned safely on UK soil last night! I had a beautiful week of sun, sangria and Sunny Delight (Pina Colada flavour, yum!); the weather was stunning and the company was great
I even succeeded with my media cleanse, 7 days Internet free! It was nice to have a little break, but I have to admit I did miss blogging, making videos and tweeting you lot! By the time we had reached the baggage reclaim my blackberry had quickly been switched back on
We stayed in the most beautiful apartment overlooking the sea.Beauty-wise I ended up being quite boring! During most days I went makeup-free and for the evenings I kept things really simple. As expected I didn’t end up using half the makeup I brought with me, and just rotated a few trusty products that I knew did the job
I didn’t take my fancy camera with me so please excuse the shabby quality, but here is my basic holiday makeup.
Face:
Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint in 02 Beige
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in 03 Medium
NARS Laguna Bronzer
Eyes:
L’oreal Telescopic Waterproof Mascara
MAC All That Glitters Eyeshadow
Lips:
YSL Rouge Volupte in #30 Fabourg Peach
As you can see I really did keep it ridiculously simple! No faffing around here! I absolutely love all the products I used, but 3 items definitely deserve their own shout-outs. NARS Laguna Bronzer, will always have a special place in my heart. It adds the nicest warm glow to the cheeks and completely eradicates the need for a blush or highlight on my skin, a seriously fabulous summer bronzer. Secondly, you know I said I wanted to give the Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint a true road test and see how it performed in hot holiday conditions, which is when I picture myself using it the most? Well, it passed! And with flying colours! Although the rest of my body did catch a bit of tan, as I used SPF50 on my face for the whole holiday it stayed ridiculously pale so I needed something to give it a bit of colour without looking too overdone. The Sheer Skin Tint was absolutely perfect for that, definitely look out for a full review soon
And finally can somebody please play a fanfare because I have added yet another lipstick to my collection and I have a feeling it’s going to be a fave! I have had my eye on the YSL Rouge Volupte in #30 Fabourg Peach ever since it started doing the rounds on blogs a few months back, so when I saw it on Legs11′s Blog Sale for a bargain basement price I jumped on it! It arrived seconds before I was about to jump into a taxi and begin my holiday travels, I did almost kiss the postman; but it must have been fate as this colour is the only lip product that I wore for the whole holiday! A creamy, light peach – stunning!
So there you have it! I’ve been back less than 24 hours and I’m already blabbering on about makeup again, what am I like
Hope you all had a lovely week and I look forward to getting back on the blogging horse!
