MAC In Synch Lip Pencil

I haven’t posted about MAC products for a long while now; in all honesty I just am no longer enthralled by their monthly releases like I used to be – yes, I was that person who hovered outside MAC until opening time on the first Thursday of every month (little tip for you there MAC lovers) to be the first to feast my eyes on the new stuff. But it’s been months since a collection really made me listen up. Now the Beth Ditto release still isn’t really my style, lots of bright, out-there shades and a blush compact inspired by Mr Blobby; but it did contain a regular re-release that I am always tempted to purchase whenever it comes out – In Synch Lip Pencil. And you know what, this time I did!

I always find that lip pencils, especially those on the highstreet come in very dark shades, so it’s hard to come by a nuded pink one. So In Synch is exactly what I was looking for – a creamy baby pink with a hint of peach. It slightly nudes out the natural shade of my lips but doesn’t leave them too pale, meaning that I can wear it on it’s on or with a gloss or lipstick layer over the top. The matte texture makes it super long-lasting, I’d say about 5 hours or so of wear but can make it a little drying, so in the photo above I’m wearing it with a touch of By Terry Baume de Rose dabbed over the top. Another beaut of a combo I’ve found is it layered with the Laura Mercier Lip Glacé in Orange Tulip over the top – nudey, pink, peach lip perfection!

MAC In Synch Lip Pencil is still in stock on the MAC websiteI managed to pick mine up in my local store, so it’s not too difficult to get your hands on and it’s priced in line with their other liners at £10.50. Do any of you have this hanging around in your makeup drawers from a past collection, or fancy getting your hands on it? I think I’ll be using this quite a lot as a base for my nuder lipsticks, especially on nights out!

It’s easy to find because it’s been permanent since last year….

I have so many mac lip pencils I haven’t been using just because I find their formulas not as creamy as others and quite drying! This does look like a lovely colour though…

I rather like this. I am yet to try a MAC lip pencil but this is pretty reasonable on the old purse too!

This actually sounds like the perfect lip pencil. I agree about high street ones being dark, but I also think they are really hard so difficult to use, too! xo

I am selling this lip pencil on ebay (starting at £5.00) if anyone is interested! It’s a little too light for me as I like bright colours rather than nudes.

Such a gorgeous shade on your lips!  I don’t own any MAC lip pencils but this might just have to be my first :) I’d just be worried it’d be too drying on my lips :(

Ohhhh this is the perfect coloured lip liner for me  I think! Like you said, I find everything in Boots/Superdrug to be quite dark pinks/rosy pinks but this is so pretty X

  • ShelleyPortet

This is such a nice nude lip liner, I really don’t think I’ve seen one around that isn’t too dark.

I used to be a MAC obsessive too but recently I’ve strayed over to other brands. Loving Jemma Kidd at the mo!
