Ok so here’s the deal. Macadamia Flawless*; a mousse-like formula that claims to work as an all-in-one cleansing and conditioning step, refining hair texture, making styling that little bit easier and cutting down on drying time. You just slap it on damp hair, massage through the scalp and lengths, rinse it out and hey presto – sort of like a one-stop shop for hair in a bottle. No need for anything else; the Argan and Macadamia Oils work to nourish and the surfactant and paraben-free formula does the rest. It’s all a bit bizarre really and unlike anything I’ve ever whipped through my locks, but the question is: is it weird or wonderful?

Well I think I have to conclude that it’s sort of wonderful. Yes it feels very strange to slap on a mousse in the shower and the lack of suds feels a little alien to my hairwash routine but my hair felt clean, smooth post blow-dry and the whole process took about three minutes to execute. I’m not so sure on the cutting down on drying time claim – but it delivers on the rest of its promises. The only downside is that a minute too long massaging it in means I lose a day before I have to wash it again. Damn. But a quick ‘in-out’ application fixes this.

It’s currently on sale at FeelUnique for £20.60 – not the cheapest of options, but for the time-strapped among us it’s a gem that it may just be worth investing in.

You like it?? It makes my hair super greasy and flat once it’s dry(it’s like i have not washed my hair for weeks). How much do you use? I have had it for 3 months and i just can’t get it to work :( I have fine wavy hair, so maybe it’s just not for my hair type?

I tried this and found that it left my fine hair a bit greasy, but maybe I left it on my hair for too long. I also used this in conjunction with a leave-in conditioner, which may have been too much together. Thanks for the tips Anna!

  • Elizabeth Lauer

I’ve used a few cleansing conditioners, but never in mousse form. I’m intrigued simply because I like argan oil.

Wow. I’m so intrigued by this product. Don’t think I’m intrigued enough to splurge on it, but it really is something different.

  • http://theaccessorymakeup.blogspot.co.uk/ Emma Leeds

For me the Macadamia products are some of the best for you hair – particularly the healing oil treatment. There is nothing that has made my hair seem as healthy, nourished and glossy! Down side is the price – so expensive!! x

Wow, I’ve never even heard of anything like this! It all sounds a bit weird to me, I’m a lather lover myself so I don’t think I could strip my hair routine down to just one mousse!

  • PeonyandPeach

Hmmmm, it sounds interesting, but I don’t feel like it would be moisturising enough for my dry hair
