While in the midst of bathroom drawer overhaul the other day I realised that I have quite the skincare sachet stash developing. Individually pouched lotions and potions are not a new discovery for me; I stocked-up on the 99p face masks for every sleepover I attended back in the day and who remembers the mini packs of hair dye – Shaders and Toners I think were called – I used to beg my Mum to use them. She refused. But skincare-wise things are stacking up and there’s something about yanking open a new packet of a fresh new formula which just makes the whole ritual feel quite special. From de-puffing to faux-glowing – I’ve got ‘em all…

Starting from step one, there’s the new Hydaluron Moisture Boosting Masks that I spoke about recently. As I said these are easily one of the creepiest looking beauty phenomena I’ve tried, but they do what they say on the tin and deliver a hefty slap of hydration without leaving a tackiness or too much of a gloopy mess behind like some other sheet mask offerings I’ve tested. Then there are the Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels. Little boomerangs of de-puffing, arctic-inspired cooling gel that I find come in most handy after my monthly crying session that comes around you know, that time, for some  trivial reason like the piece of blu tac you’re trying to use just isn’t performing its function. Speaking from experience, yo. These too look hilarious when applied. Apply secretly then sneak up behind loved ones for maximum scaring effect. Finally in my sachet stash are the Kate Somerville 360° Face Self Tanning Pads. Now these are strictly sachets, but they do have a little pull off tab that gains you access to the product. You guys know I’m sold of the Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning when it comes to faking some kind of colour in my complexion and these perform exactly that function, though do come in handy for travelling instead of lugging a big bottle of the Clarins around.

So that’s my sachet stash ripped open and unloaded, what little pockets of beauty wonder make your cut?

As a full time traveller I carry a small pouch of sachets with me so whenever my skin needs a pick me up I can give myself a little mini makeover. Even when I’m in the most remote places it makes my feel fancy :) http://www.dirtypawsblog.com

I love the Hydraluron masks – review will be on my blog tomorrow :)

I always try and get sachet testers of products I’m thinking about buying. I did this with the GlamGlow mud mask as it was only £8 for 4 sachets and I’m glad I didn’t have to fork out for the whole tub becuase I wasn’t that impressed :(

There is something about a sachet that instantly makes me think of holidays. I hoard all of mine for using when I am away from home, especially the free ones you get at Space NK and Keihls . Best one recently was a Nude cleansing Oil sachet I used on a weekend break oof lovely.

I love a good sachet, however, does anyone else find them an absolute pain to open or is it just me! I really struggle, the creams end up going everywhere!

Great post Anna, I definitely want to try those hydraluron masks, I’m addicted to the serum!

Sheet masks are pretty big in the Asian beauty market so in the past I’ve definitely been partial to them! They take some getting used to but I find them really convenient and easy to use. I’ve been really interested in the Hydraluron ones recently!

Oh god I remember Shaders and Toners! I used to get them before I started dying my hair as a wash in wash out colour, I never saw much difference though! I definitely want to try out the Hydraluron mask, maybe on payday…
