The Usual Suspects

So you know I’m always blabbering on about how little time I have in the morning so need to stick to quite simple and quick makeup blah blah? Well due to my new job starting (I think I will do a whole separate post on that!), and and even earlier commute to London than before, my morning routine has all of about 2 minutes that allows for a bit of preening. So I have been shoving products on my face even quicker than ever before! You wanna know what products were lovingly ‘shoved on’ this morning? Well let me show you.

I may be quite stuck in my ways when it comes to the rest of my makeup, but when it comes down to foundation I’m up for a bit of experimentation! My foundation ‘flavour of the week’, has been my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in B30 Beige Sable – it’s light, easy to apply and adds a nice amount of coverage without being too overdone. A firm everyday fav. Then I need to conceal the horrendous dark circles that these early starts are giving me – and for that I bring in the big guns, Bobbi Brown! I usually just pat their Concealer in Sand under my eyes, but I have been adding in the extra step of using the Corrector in Porcelain Peach before and it really does help to disguise my uber sleepy eyes. I scrimp on powder as I am favouring the natural ‘glowy’ (aka greasy) look at the moment but I also don’t bother with bronzer as I have been keeping quite tanned recently or blusher as I have quite a ruddy complexion anyway! I take the brush on the end of the Rimmel Professional Brow Pencil through my eyebrows which gets out any foundation that may have been caught in my unruly bushy brows. Next I curl my lashes with the Shu Uemura eyelash curler and give them a generous coating of the L’oreal Telescopic Waterproof Mascara (standard!). I haven’t included a lip product in the picture cause in all honesty I usually forget to pop one on – shock! They get a slathering of The Body Shop Lip Butter in Sweet Lemon while I’m on the train if they’re lucky ;)

There you have it, nothing I haven’t spoken before, but thought I would share my current beauty faves with ya, cause I’m nice like that! Had a ridiculously busy week but going to get back into my blogging grove this weekend and who knows, maybe even knuckle down and film a video – crazier things have happened ;)

I find it a bit sad on my part that I completely ignored the makeup and guessed which perfumes were on show as soon as I saw them in the background; Gucci Guilty, Miss Dior Cherie and YSL Parisienne!

I really want to try the Chanel Vitalumiere but  Chanel foundations seem to always be against me, all the ones I’ve tried never seem to stay on my nose for some reason! I love the Bobbi Brown Corrector & concealer too, mine are nearly all gone & I use the Shu Uemura eyelash curler, rimmel eyebrow pencil & L’oreal telescopic almost everyday too, snap! :)

I’ve heard so many good things about the bobbi brown concealers/correctors. I really want to try them!

    • http://www.viviannadoesmakeup.com/ Vivianna

OOooooo they are sooo good! I highly recommend them xx

I hate early starts they’re rubbish!  If you leave really early, is your train quite quiet? If it is, maybe you could do a couple of steps on the train to save time, like maybe your mascara? I wouldn’t recommend it on a busy train though!

I like your new type of background – it’s always good to spot things in the background like on people’s dressing tables, but then again I’m really nosey! xx

    • http://www.viviannadoesmakeup.com/ Vivianna

Unfortunately the train is really busy, so not really enough space to do my makeup on the train! Pleased you like the new background too, will definitely be using it more :) xx

You’re right, it is the concealer king! xx

I really want to try the Bobbi Brown products you mentioned, my under eye bags are horrendous recently! I’ve been hinting like a mad woman that I want those Shu Uemura lash curlers for my birthday, they sound amazing xx

    • http://www.viviannadoesmakeup.com/ Vivianna

Aw the concealing products from Bobbi Brown really are amazing! And hope you get the Shu Uemura curlers you have been lusting for :) xx
