‘My Basket’ is a new addition to my beauty-things storage. It houses all my everyday bath, body and hair bits making things really easy to reach for and change around with the rest of my stocks if I fancy something a little different. The basket itself was a bargain purchase from Sainsburys of all places, but for this Weekend Post I thought I would share with you its volumising, smoothing and bronzing contents.

The majority of bits in my basket concern hair, which is strange as it’s easily the part of my beauty routine that I get least excited about. There’s also an unsaid rule that if it doesn’t contain the word ‘volumising’ in the title then it ain’t allowed in! To wash my hair I’ve been using a combination of the Ojon Volume Advance Shampoo* and Conditioner* and the Phyto Volumising Shampoo – I use the Ojon if I’m feeling fancy and the Phyto if I need to gve my hair a bit more of a deeper clense. To style my hair everyday I use the Ojon Volume Advance Volumising Styling Spray* which gives a nice amount of subtle volume or the Osis Dust It Mattifying Powder* if I’m going all out and want some super height to my hair. My dry shampoo of choice is the Ojon Rub-Out Dry Cleansing Spray* which I have spoken about many times before – greasy mop be gone! And after all of this use of mattifying and dry products I add a bit of life back into my locks with the Morrocan Oil*. I put one squirt of this through the ends of my hair after every wash when my hair is still wet and I have a feeling it will last me bloomin’ ages! See I wasn’t lying about the ‘volumising’ rule!

Taking care of the skin on my body and giving it as much attention as I give to my face, is something that I have been doing since Christmas. Yep, I have actually stuck to one of my New Year’s resolutions! I use the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil in the bath as a shower gel and add a few caps to my bath to make it moisturising and milky. When I get out it’s a toss up between whether I use the L’Occitane Almond Body Oil or the Kiehls Creme de Corps* lotion. I find the Kiehls to be slightly more richer, so use that when my limbs are extra dry. My feet require some extra attention so I use the Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand and Foot Balm, which smells of oranges and makes my feet feel amazing. A bit random, but my deodorant of choice is the Mitchum 48hr one in Shower Fresh, been using this stuff for years now and I think it does the job!

Finally something which I love the result of but hate actually doing – tanning. Oh my, isn’t it such a chore! I’ve been tring out a new one recently, the Sienna X Dark Tanning Lotion, but I really haven’t got on with it. It doesn’t last on the skin and wears awfully around the inside of he elbows. So I had to scrub it off and start again with my all-time favourite the Xen-Tan Dark Lotn Absolute Luxe*. Will I ever stop going on about that stuff? No, because it really is the bees knees when it comes to fake tan!

So introduction to my basket over! Even just writing this post is making me want to have a pamper sesh now! So do you have a similar set up, or do you like to mix it up more than me? Right now I’m off and you now know exactly what I’ll be up to!

You’ve made me want to have a pamper sesh too now! I like to mix my products around as I always get bored and want to try something new! Defo interested in your tanning stuff, I really want to get into fake tan but my fear of looking orange puts me off! But I might try the Xen-Tan fake tan, so many people rave about it! Great post by the way! :) xx

I have a cupboard with three shelves. All the things on the top shelf are my everyday products, but occassionally mix it up by introducing products from the other shelves. That basket is cute! x

I’ve had a basket like this for maybe two years now and it’s really comfy to have all my  everyday products in one place. Except, I keep my body wash, shampoo and such in the shower, not in my room.
My basket contains The Body Shop peppermint foot lotion (my absolute favourite!), Clarins Moisture-Rich Body Lotion (smells amazing, but is a bit too expensive in my opinion), Schwarzkopf got2b Big Volume hair spray, Dove Summer Glow, The Body Shop Vitamin-E face spray (have you tried it? I can’t stop raving about this little thing… ), some multivitamins and a bunch of little face masks I’ve yet to try out.

I also have a smaller basket full of makeup things I need to use up, just so I don’t forget about them.

Love it! My ‘basket’ is actually two short, square glass vases that are usually used for florals or decor. I think the glass makes all my little bottles of potions and lotions look nice, I appreciate them on display and keeps them in order! I got them from a craft store for super cheap. Happy Sunday! -Courtney

I have never fake tanned in my life. I’m pretty clueless when it comes to tanning but I guess I don’t see it as something I need to do because my skin is a sort of creamy shade anyway. I can totally relate to the “volumising” thing and I just had a root through my own stash of hair goodies-most of which have the word “volumising” on the packaging. :D xx

Similar what im using stays in the bathroom cabinet and spares/new products stay in my bedroom. Only way I can do it as if my mam sees to of the same product (even different brands) she will mix them!

    I have a basket, too.
Next to my bed with lotions, cooling eye pads, hand creams, a hand mask, a foot cream, nail care cream (for the polish-free-time)…and so on.
At my dressing table I’ve got a glass untensil with stuff against spots, my eye cream, hair oil, foundation, product samples for the face, moisture spray and cream.
Yeah, you can get an impression that I got lot of stuff. It isn’t so ;)
But it looks really pretty!!!! :)
