What’s better than an evening in with your friends, chattering about bumf, primping and preening, all washed down with a glass of vino and a handfull of haribo (or chocolate popcorn which as I discovered is rather tasty)? Yep, not much can top that for me. So when me and two of my clan indulged in a pamper-tastic Friday night in I thought I’d document it for ‘The Weekend Post’…
The prep started the night before as I rooted around my stocks to find the creme de là creme product wise for our girlie sleepover. I may have over-packed slightly but ended up arming myself with my favourite face masks, nail polishes (all Essie, what a shocker), nail care and a few other miscellaneous bits and bobs. We decided to kick it off with a mini mani and pedi sesh. Lauren, my beautifully beach blonde, fellow foodie lover mate went for Essie Lady Like and made the confession that she actually prefers the old style thin Essie brushes (shocker!). My life-long childhood ‘Sister from another Mister’ and all-round brown hair, brown eyes stunner Mel chose Essie Tart Deco. A colour she loved so much, she ended up picking it up the next day! Myself? I lacquered on my current favourite Essie Mint Candy Apple. Then we moved onto face masks and as we all have fairly oily skin we plumped for cleansing and detoxing formulas; Lauren the Aesop Parsley Seed Deep Cleansing Mask, Mel and I the Origins Clear Improvement one. After sitting there for 10 minutes making faces that cracked our masks which subsequently made us all crack up we washed them off with muslin cloths and applied the Origins Drink Up Intensive overnight hydration mask. Another item which both of them added to their shopping lists after adoring the peachy scent and waking up with baby soft faces.
After initial inspection in the daylight that the masks had been a success off we trotted back to bed to feast on a morning breakfast banquet of last night’s left-over Haribo, chip sticks and chocolate popcorn. Utterly loverly.
