I’ve spoken about my bath, body and bonce basket before (here, and here). It sits on my shelf and houses and rotates the latest shampoos, conditioners, hair oils, masks, tans, body moisturisers, foot creams, volumisers (the list is pretty endless) that I’m loving at that moment. Sometimes it’s constantly changing, other times products can sit there for weeks until I squeeze out the last goop – a satisfying moment that a lot of bits in my stash don’t have the joy of experiencing (it’s a sure fire example that I’ve actually rather enjoyed it). And for the past month or so there has been no swapping-in-and-out of the kind, I’m very happy with the routine I’ve got. So I’ve managed to tear myself away from watching the entire season of Suits in a day (a must-watch, if you haven’t already), and eating last nights left over pavlova in bed (guilty), to talk you through what’s made the cut…
Hair-wise I won’t jabber on too much as they are all products I got a while ago as part of a FeelUnique haul which I spoke about in a recent video (link here). But my daily shampoo and conditioner of choice have been from the Redken Body Full range. I have no complaints, but I’m not wildly raving about them either, they do the job but the jury’s still out on whether a repurchase will occur. I also have the Phyto Clarifying Detox Shampoo on hand for weekend washes where I need a little extra oomph. Now this I love – it’s menthol formula feels ah-mazing on my scalp, leaves my hair feeling super clean and less greasy in the long run. Other hair bits include the Kevin Murphy Anti Gravity Oil Free Volumiser, Joico’s K-Pak Deep-Penetrating Reconstructor, the Kerastase Nectar Thermique, ORIBE Dry Texturising Spray and Moroccan Oil*; all get a thumbs up from me and the last of which is one of only three products that has featured in all three of these basket themed posts.
The other two products that have cropped up before are the Xen-Tan Dark Lotion Absolute Luxe and the Kiehls Creme de Corps*. I’m now on my third bottle of the Xen-Tan; it’s the best for me and the one that I always go back to and if I can be arsed enough to throw it on every week it gives me a nice olive-tone all year round. In the case of the Kiehls, I think it’s the fact that it’s so bloody massive (500ml’s to be exact) that its stuck around this long! Expect to see it in a empties video soon (finally). Two of the more recent additions to the basket are the Soap & Glory Heel Genius, which my friend highly recommended to me to sort out flaky feet (eww but true) and the This Works Perfect Legs Gradual Tan*, which I daringly used on my arms the other night and was pretty impressed with the results. A gradual tan that I actually see a difference with the next day, I’ll persist and let you know how I find this one. Finally, my deodorant of choice managed to sneak its way in there, Mitcham 48hr in Shower Fresh, noice.
So it seems I’m a little hair-centric at the moment. Excessive amount of products aside I’m thinking of indulging in a little dye job and a minor snip – I think it’s time for a restyle people. We’ll see. Right, now I’m sure I heard that was some left over treacle tart downstairs…..who’s hungry for some lunch?
