By the end of the week my skin is looking a little crap, my nails are chipped and nasty, eyebrows are a complete state and my body is as dry as! Sounds like a sight for sore eyes, right? Trust me, by the weekend I’m verging on looking like a complete mess! So what is it time for – a WEEKEND PAMPER! Don’t you just love those times when you are free to chill, relax and partake in a little pamper time, as self indulgent as it may sound, it’s times like this that live for ;) So what did I get up to today?

Firstly, to combat the dry skin on my body I ran myself a nourishing bath by popping in a 1/3rd of a Lush Happy Blooming Luxury Bath Melt which contains Cocoa Butter and Passionflower Seed Oil – it leaves my skin feeling so soft! I gave myself a good scrub with my Soap & Glory Exfoliating Gloves mixed with my favourite shower gel ever – Lush’s Snow Fairy, and then doused myself in Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter – dry skin be gone! The ‘body’ stage of my pampering sesh out the way it was time to sort out my dull looking face. After a good plucking with my Tweezerman’s to rid me of my au natural mono-brow, I gave my skin a good ol’ scrub! As I use my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish twice a day with a muslin cloth I don’t usually feel the need for an exfoliator, but with my skin in such dire condition it was time for drastic action! The Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator has been sitting unloved in my drawers since it came with my first ever Liz Earle purchase almost a year ago now – the Liz Earle Skin Essentials Kit (go buy it, it’s amazing), but after giving my skin a scrub with it today it’s definitely going to be something that I do an a weekly cycle. It made my skin feel so refreshed, didn’t aggravate it at all, and got ready of all my flakiness. To top off that intense cleanse and exfoliation my skin needed some moisture, so I slathered on some Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate* that contains pure plant oils, this rebalances my skin adding moisture while not leaving it greasy at all. If you have normal/oily combo skin like me, don’t be shy of using facial oils – they really do help to moisturise and are great for when your skin needs that extra little ‘treat’. Finally, I turned my attention to my nails. I think I will do a nailcare video/post soon if you fancy it, but for the mean time all you need to know is that I painted them with my favourite colour of the moment, OPI’s Sweet Heart, the most perfect polished pale pink, I just adore how this looks on my nails. Scaggy nails sorted :)

You may have noticed that I missed out a major step in my pampering day Рhair! But do not fret I gave my greasy mop a good wash ;) I will pop up an updated haircare video soon, but at the moment I am experimenting with hair treatments and oils so am deciding what ones I like best. I have to say at the moment the Macadamia Healing Oil that I got in my Boudoir Priv̩ box is topping the bill, but more on that tomorrow ;) Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

So jealous of your Snow Fairy! I got a bottle last Christmas time, and a few months ago it just started smelling a bit off if you know what I mean. Was gutted I had to throw it away, but it had an aftersmell of bile or something=yuck! Love OPI Sweetheart too, but I seem to reach for my Essie Fiji more! Do you have a post on the superskin concentrate? I’m intruiged! And I agree, everyone has to go buy the essentials set from Liz Earle. Such staple products!

    • Vivianna

Eurgh that’s horrible, you should of taken it back! My Snow Fairies haven’t gone like that (yes I have more than one still hanging around lol), might have to try out the Essie Fiji colour too ;) No I don’t have a post on the Superskin Concentrate, but hopefully I will pop one up at the weekend xx

    • Vivianna

Oooo pleased to hear you had a lovely pamper day too xx

  • jane

Aw its sounds lovely. I did a little pampering today too (hey! what are sundays for!) and put in a hair mask and such. The only thing is I only have a shower in my flat, so I was longing for a lovely hot bubble bath… The Liz earl face products sound amazing. I’ve had the cleanse and polish before but next time I’m ordering, I think I will try the full range.

    • Vivianna

Oh yes you definitely need to try the whole range :) Pleased you enjoyed a little pampering too! xx

  • Raquel

I also had my own little pampering ritual ;) different products, but same concept ;) BEING DELICATE with the skin (especially when cleansing and exfoliating!!) and hydrating a lot :D If you want to check the products and my skincare routine we can check it here (it’s in portughese but the language of skin care is universal hahaha, no seriously, you can see the pics and figure everything out :D )  ;)

On my hair? Always Kerastase (so i’m curious about your video)

As for the nails, i use Mavala a lot, but will enjoy to see your nailcare – we can always learn something new ;)

    • Vivianna

That’s great, thanks for the comment! It’s always great to hear what other people are using :) xx

  • Chloe Le Breton

Snow Fairy is my absolute favourite shower gel too – I still have a huge 500ml bottle from last Christmas as I rationed my stocks, but it’ll be back on sale next week, so perhaps I was overly frugal with it – that’s not to say I won’t be picking up some more this year. It’s just heavenly girliness in a bottle!!! People think I’m crazy but I set aside a good few hours every weekend to rejuvenate myself after the week – I work such long hours, that I don’t have the time and energy for too much pampering midweek; so I’m all about the exfoliation, hair mask, nails. brows and body butter on a Sunday evening :o ) x

    • Vivianna

I LOVE Snow Fairy, I’m very pleased that it will be back on their shelves soon :) Pleased to hear you love a good pamper too ;) xx
